To Prepare for a good Death

Evening Prayer My God, I know I will die; perhaps I have only a few moments to live. Perhaps I will not get out of the bed where I will lie tonight, so You warn me to enter it as if I were in my tomb. I know, Lord, that at the hour of my death I would like to have lived without sin and to have always loved You. Put me now in these holy dispositions. Yes, my God, I hate sin, I believe all that the Church teaches me, I put all my hope in You, I want to live and die in Your love. I commend to You my soul which has cost You so much, O my God. Do not allow the precious Blood You shed for it to be useless. Blessed Virgin, Mother of my God, my Mother and my Patroness, my good Guardian Angel, my Patron Saint, all the Saints of Paradise, intercede for me, pray for me, during this night, all the time of my life and especially at the hour of my death. Amen.

Let us Thank God for His goodness

Evening Prayer What thanksgiving shall I give You, O my God, for all the good things I have received from You? You have thought of me from all eternity, You have brought me out of nothing, You have given Your life to redeem me, and You still fill me every day with an infinity of favours. Alas! Lord, what can I do in gratitude for so much goodness? Join with me, blessed Spirits, in praising the God of mercies, who never ceases to do good to the most unworthy and ungrateful of His creatures.

O Mary, my sweet Mother, allow me to entrust my heart to You for ever before I lay down to sleep. Keep it close to Your maternal Heart which bore the Savior of the world. Present this heart at every moment to Your Son Jesus. Tell Him that it is a heart that wants to love Him and which beats only for Him. O my divine Mother, bless me so that I may always be Your dear child.

Let us thank God for the graces He gives us.

Morning Prayer My God, I thank You very humbly for all the graces You have given me so far. It is still by an effect of Your goodness that I see this day; I also want to use it solely to serve You. I consecrate to You all thoughts, words, deeds and sorrows. Bless them, O Lord, that there may be none which is not moved by Your love, and which does not strive for Your greater glory.
