He had all the Chief Priests and Scribes of the people assemble, and he pressed them to tell him where the Christ was to be born. They answered, “In Bethlehem of Judea. Indeed, behold what the Prophet has written: ‘And you, Bethlehem, of the land of Juda, are by no means the least among the principal towns of Juda; for out of you shall come forth the Leader who is to rule My people Israel.’”
