Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
I praise You, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life-giving source of eternal life, infinite treasure of the Divinity, burning furnace of divine love. You are my asylum and the place of my rest. O my divine Savior, set my heart on fire with the ardent love with which Yours is all ablaze. Pour into my heart the great graces of which Yours is the source, and make my heart so united to Yours that Your will be mine and mine eternally conform to Yours, since from now on I desire that Your holy will be the rule of all my desires and all my actions. Amen.
Hail, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and quickening source of eternal life, infinite treasury of the Divinity, burning furnace of divine Love! Thou art my refuge and my sanctuary, O my amiable Saviour! Consume my heart with that burning fire with which Thine is ever inflamed; pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Thy love, and let my heart be so united with Thine that our wills may be one, and mine in all things conform to Thine. May Thine be the standard and rule of my desires and of my actions. Amen.
