Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
God the Father of Heaven, have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us.
God the Holy Ghost, have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, one God, have mercy on us.
O Jesus, man of sorrows
par excellence,
Help us to carry our cross as You carried Yours.
O Jesus, poor and deprived of everything,
Help us to carry our cross as You carried Yours.
O Jesus, disowned and rejected by Your people,
Help us to carry our cross as You carried Yours.

Help us to carry our cross as You carried Yours.
O Jesus, abandoned, renounced and betrayed by Your own disciples,
Help us to carry our cross as You carried Yours.
O Jesus, saddened to the point of death,
Help us to carry our cross as You carried Yours.
O Jesus, given over to disgust, weariness and dejection,
Help us to carry our cross as You carried Yours.

Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world,
Spare us, O Lord.

Pray
–
O
Jesus,
who
for
love
of
me,
and
for
the
expiation
of
my
sins,
suffered
an
infinite
number
of
pains,
humiliations
and
opprobrium,
imprint
them
with
a
deep
esteem
in
my
mind,
engrave
their
sentiments
in
my
heart,
apply
their
merits
to
my
soul,
make
me
willing
to
follow
You
on
every
occasion,
to
share
in
the
sufferings
of
Your
Passion,
and
to
drink
with
You
the
bitterness
of
Your
chalice,
so
that,
sprinkled
with
Your
tears
and
Your
blood,
I
may
be
purified
of
my
sins,
and
by
the
help
of
Your
grace I may reach the abode of glory. Amen.
