Litany of Divine Providence

Our Lord Himself wanted to reveal to us how charming it is to surrender oneself to His Fatherly Heart: “Consider, says the Saviour, how the lilies of the field grow: they do not work, they do not spin; and yet I tell you that Solomon in all his glory was never clothed like one of them. If, then, God is careful to clothe in this way a grass of the field, which is today and tomorrow will be withered, how much more careful will He be to clothe you, O men of little faith? Do not worry, saying: What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, What shall we wear? The pagans worry about all these things. God, your Father, knows what you need. So seek first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things will be granted to you in abundance. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will take care of itself: to each day its own trouble." Lord, have mercy on us. / Christ, have mercy on us. Christ, hear us. / Christ, graciously hear us. Lord, have mercy on us. / Christ, have mercy on us. Christ, hear us. / Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us. / Christ, graciously hear us. God the Father of Heaven, / Have mercy on us. God the Son, Redeemer of the world, / Have mercy on us. God the Holy Ghost, / Have mercy on us. Holy Trinity, one God, / Have mercy on us. Providence of God, worthy object of the love of Angels and men, We trust in Thee. Loving Providence, who governs everything with number, weight and measure, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, hope of our salvation, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, consolation of the pilgrim soul, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, the way to Heaven, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, faithful guide of the soul in all dangers to help us avoid them, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, worthy dispenser of graces, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, inexhaustible treasure of all good, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, sustainer of the just, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, hope of the most abandoned sinners, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, refuge of the miserable, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, recourse in every need, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, stillness in the storms, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, rest of the heart, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, refuge for the afflicted, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, effective remedy for all kinds of evils, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, who feeds the hungry, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, source of refreshment, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, provider for the poor, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, sustainer of widows and orphans, We trust in Thee. Providence of God, divine attribute, worthy of our praise and adoration, We trust in Thee. Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world, Spare us, O Lord. Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world, Christ graciously spare us. Lamb of God who takest away the sins of the world, Have mercy on us. Christ, hear us. / Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us. / Christ, graciously hear us. We exalt, Lord, Thy Providence, And lovingly submit to all Thy decrees upon us. Let Us Pray O eternal God, who does not disdain to cast the eyes of Thy Providence upon us, to guide us, however unworthy we may be, grant us, we beseech Thee, the grace to surrender ourselves so absolutely to all the designs of Thy Providence upon us, during the unstable course of this life, that we may arrive at the immortality of heavenly goods, through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
