MAGNIFICAT

The Order of the Magnificat of the Mother of God has a special purpose the preservation of the Deposit of Faith through religious education in all its forms. God has established him as “a bulwark against the almost general apostasy” which has invaded Christendom and in particular the Roman Church.

Consecration to Saint Michael the Archangel

Let us entrust ourselves to the special protection of this great Archangel who has all power against the forces of Satan.
O great Prince of Heaven, Standard Bearer of the Redeeming Cross, most faithful guardian of the Holy Church, I, …(your name), though most unworthy to appear before you, trusting nevertheless in your special goodness, touched by the excellence of your admirable prayers and the multitude of your benefits, I present myself to you, accompanied by my guardian Angel. And in the presence of all the Angels of Heaven, whom I take as witnesses of my devotion to you, I choose you today as my protector, my special advocate and my guide in the way of salvation.
O you, who are the Guardian of the Church and of souls, I firmly propose to honor you with all my power. Cover the Vicar of Jesus Christ with your shield, protect the holy Church. May your powerful arm triumph at last over Satan and give Almighty God, through His most holy Mother, a decisive victory over the forces of hell. Establish the reign of God on earth, so that all men may live happily in peace and service of God.
Assist me throughout my life, that I may never offend the most pure eyes of God, either in works, words or thoughts. Defend me against all the temptations of the devil, and at the hour of death, obtain peace for my soul and introduce it into the eternal Homeland of Infinite Love, to glorify the adorable Holy Trinity. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, and of the Mother of God. Amen.

Preparatory Prayer

O Jesus! We are going to walk with You on the road to Calvary which was so painful for You. Make us understand the greatness of Your sufferings, touch our hearts with tender compassion at the sight of Your torments, in order to increase in us the regret of our faults and the love we wish to have for You.
Deign to apply to all of us the infinite merits of Your Passion, and in memory of Your sorrows, show mercy to the souls in Purgatory, especially to those who are most abandoned.
O Divine Mary, who first taught us to make the Way of the Cross, obtain for us the grace to follow Jesus with the sentiments Your Heart was filled with as You accompanied Him on the road to Calvary. Grant that we may weep with You, and that we may love Your divine Son as You do. We ask this in the name of His adorable Heart. Amen.
